SMERCHEK SHOW LAMBS
Our club lamb genetics history spans 20 years. We started with a group of Henry Suffolk ewes of Ohio and a few home grown Hamps. Our first and most significant purchase was a buck called "STORM". This Hamp/Natural sheep was used in our flock nearly 10 years. He was bred by Annuschat Club Lambs sired by McGolden out of a Cabaniss ewe. He sired 47 county fair champions in the Midwest. He was a once in a lifetime sheep.Other important ram additions were Tuff(a McGolden son) and Batman (an Ozzy son) both from Mike Hindman. These two bucks had huge impact on our Natural color flock. We still have the thickest, heaviest boned set of naturals you can find anywhere. The most recent additions to the ram force are two Mel Marx bucks. These linebred suffolks have had a huge impact and our lambs have become extremely competitive. We have had great success with this set of rams.
